What does your role involve, and what do you enjoy most about it?
Anything geology related. I mainly work with Phil and Trent, our geotech engineers on design of foundations, retaining walls, roads and utilities. Planning and implementing field investigations that are tailored to each project and site conditions and preparing reports for geotechnical design. We also perform hydrogeologic studies, well design, underground injection control permitting, and environmental studies. What I enjoy most is working outdoors in the beautiful area where we live.
What is your favorite part of working with this team?
People and place. I enjoy working with the people at Nelson, our clients, and contractors. The place where we live is second to none…especially being a geologist.
What do you like to do when you are not at the office?
I like to be with my family and get my kids outside and away from screens.
What has kept you at Nelson Engineering all these years?
People and place. I enjoy working with the people at Nelson, our clients, and contractors. The place where we live is second to none…especially being a geologist.
