What does your role involve, and what do you enjoy most about it?
As a Civil Project Manager, I focus on residential and commercial water and sewer design, along with site drainage and grading. I enjoy that every project comes with its own unique challenges—no two are ever the same. Each design is a new problem to solve, and I find a lot of satisfaction in helping clients see their projects come together and achieve their goals.
What is your favorite part of working with this team?
The team genuinely cares about one another. I really enjoy serving my coworkers and helping create an environment where they can thrive both inside and outside the office.
What do you like to do when you are not at the office?
I’m focused on my family, my church community and the outdoors. Hiking, camping, hunting, skiing, mountain biking, and running marathons are some of my favorite activities—but what makes them most meaningful is sharing them with my family and friends.
What has kept you at Nelson Engineering all these years?
The people and the opportunity. My coworkers have become close friends, and the chance to be part of company ownership in such a highly reputable firm has been incredibly meaningful. Nelson is committed to looking out for its employees and creating not just jobs, but long-term careers. That culture and shared vision have made it easy to stay and continue growing here.
