What does your role involve, and what do you enjoy most about it?
Managing structural engineers & structural engineering projects. Project engineer & drafter if/as needed. Review of structural engineering design calculations & drawings from project engineers.
What is your favorite part of working with this team?
Hard working engineers who love what they do, & culture of the company.
What do you like to do when you are not at the office?
Outdoor recreation that fits the season.
What has kept you at Nelson Engineering all these years?
Diversity of the company and of western Wyoming. Growth in my career both as a engineer and as a department leader/manager.
First Job
- Before College: Hansen Livestock & Hansen Construction.
- Ranch hand doesn’t count when its your family – but lots of work there.
- Hansen Construction: Working for my mom and dad; along side my sister. Pouring concrete; framing houses; roofing & Siding projects; insulating – you name it.
- AFTER College: Merrick & Company, Denver CO.
