What does your role involve, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I’m someone employees can come to when they have questions, concerns, insurance issues, or someone just to talk to. I also work closely with managers to help their teams run smoothly, talk through challenges, and put practical HR plans in place that support the company’s goals all while supporting our employees.
What I enjoy most about working in HR is being able to make a real difference in someone’s day-to-day experience at work. Whether it’s helping someone through difficult life challenges, strengthening team culture, or improving a process so people feel more supported, I love knowing that my work helps create a place where people can feel supported valued.
What is your favorite part of working with this team?
The culture. I enjoy a laid-back environment that allows me to put my own creative energy into tasks. I always feel supported, heard, and valued. There’s a strong sense of teamwork here. It makes a big difference to be part of a group that not only works hard but also cares about each other. Nelson has that in their secret sauce which is hard to come by in most work cultures.
I also feel incredibly fortunate to work in a town that means so much to me. Being part of a company that has played a meaningful role in shaping and supporting this community long before I arrived is something I truly value.
