During these uncertain and unprecedented times, all of us at Nelson Engineering are committed to the health and well-being of our staff, clients, colleagues, and most importantly the community. Due to the uncertain nature; extent; and extreme effects the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic may have, beginning Monday, March 16th Nelson Engineering is implementing a remote work policy and reduction in office time for our employees. We have encouraged our employees to work remotely from home as much as possible; reduce un-necessary meetings; and maintain the “social distancing” guidelines provided by the CDC.
We ask our employees to forego attendance of large group meetings and events, and rigorously implement all applicable hygiene protocols. We are asking the same of all our clients; colleagues; consultants; and collaborators with whom we may be meeting to do the same.
If a teleconference meeting or a e-mail will suffice, we suggest implementing those practices.
Nelson Engineering already has the necessary technologies in place to allow us to continue to service most of our clients’ needs remotely and we do not anticipate significant disruption in our abilities to provide our high level of professional service during this national emergency.
Individual project managers will keep in e-mail or phone contact with clients and consultants around circumstances which may involve short-term delays.
While limiting in-house face to face meetings, Nelson Engineering does have proposed meeting alternatives such as online screen sharing if you need to request a meeting during this time.
Deliveries for pickups and drop-offs will need advance planning. Please contact the appropriate Project Manager to make any necessary arrangements or with any questions.
We recognize the enormous importance of staying safe while also doing everything we can to keep the local economy steady; including supporting our friends in the travel and hospitality business; parents working at home while taking care of their children; health care and emergency responders; and many of the others who will be adversely impacted by the necessary measures we must all take to protect our community; our medical workers and infrastructure; and especially those most vulnerable to the virus.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this time. We look forward to a safe passage through this time and looking beyond this crisis as quickly and effectively as possible.
