What does your role involve, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I am a land surveyor at Nelson Engineering. My job is to accurately locate property lines, establish legal boundaries, and provide precise measurements that support land ownership, development, and construction projects. My favorite part of this job is being able to survey in remote locations of Wyoming. Land surveying has taken me to parts of Wyoming that I never would have been otherwise.
What is your favorite part of working with this team?
My favorite part about working with the Nelson Engineering team is that it really feels like family. It’s more than just coworkers. We genuinely enjoy spending time together outside of work. That kind of connection makes a difference in the office and in the field.
What do you like to do when you are not at the office?
When I am not at work, you can typically find me outside. In the winter I spend my time on Teton Pass or in Grand Teton National Park snowboarding. Once summer rolls around I swap the snowboard for a fly rod. My favorite places to go out and fish are Flat Creek in the refuge or head south of town to the Green river. Being on the water or in the mountains is where I recharge.
