What does your role involve, and what do you enjoy most about it?

My role is to assist project managers with any and all tasks related to the design-bid-build process. I am a proposal and grant writer, prepare state loan and permit applications, assist with the writing and review of reports (ERRs, feasibility studies, facility plans, and design reports), customize contract documents and technical specifications, review contractor submittals and pay applications, perform field inspections and often serve as a Resident Project Representative (RPR), collect water quality samples and report on findings, file water rights for adjudication, and assist with project closeout, which can involve preparation of record drawings, O&M Manuals, and completion certificates. I also assist Special Districts with their daily administrative operations. I enjoy the variety of work that engineering affords!

What is your favorite part of working with this team?

My favorite part of my job is working collaboratively on projects with the Nelson Engineering team. Not only do they have an incredible body of work experience to draw from, but they are just a fun group of people.

What do you like to do when you are not at the office?

I enjoy gardening with Slow Food in the Tetons at the Blair Community Garden, cooking, hiking with my daughter, and travelling (specifically visiting state and national parks).

What has kept you at Nelson Engineering all these years?

The people/team is what has kept me at Nelson Engineering (NE) for 20+ years. NE has an amazing group of individuals from various backgrounds and fields of expertise that work incredibly well together. I am never without support and daily learn new problem-solving skills from others here.
